Upcoming AHIMA Membership Changes to CEUs

As we move into 2024 and foresee upcoming AHIMA Membership changes to CEUs, it is the NMHIMA Board Members’ responsibility to advocate for our NMHIMA Members. As part of these efforts, NMHIMA is doing the following:

Continued advocacy efforts for NMHIMA Members, voicing concern about changes requiring 40% of CEU to come directly from AHIMA

AND

Encouraging our NMHIMA members to prepare for upcoming changes

AND

Boost NMHIMA members to start off 2024 with the highest amount of bonus CEUs from both AHIMA and NMHIMA

Becoming an AHIMA Premier Member and choose NMHIMA as your Component Association (CA)

If you are already an NMHIMA member, upgrade to AHIMA Premier Member.

Make Changes to Existing Membership

Choose New Mexico Health Information Association (NMHIMA) as your Component Association (CA)

Once registration or upgrade is complete:

  1. Forward confirmation email to NMHIMA: info@nmhima.org.
  2. NMHIMA will verify the member status report from AHIMA by February 29, 2024.
  3. NMHIMA will provide a promo code to members for the additional 6 CEUs from the NMHIMA library, and members will need to register by March 31, 2024 to receive the bonus 6CEUS.
